Installing the New Adobe InDesign 2023 v18.5.0.57

To get started with the latest version of Adobe InDesign, you'll need to access the Creative Cloud Desktop App. Once it's open, locate InDesign in the All Apps section and click on the three dots to the far right of the listing for InDesign. From there, select 'Other Versions' and follow the links for installing and updating Transfer Manager.

Important note: Make sure your version of Transfer Manager is up-to-date before proceeding with the installation. You can find more information on transferring files here.

If you're not sure about your login credentials for Adobe Creative Cloud, please contact your IT department or the person responsible for managing your organization's Creative Cloud account. A paid subscription to InDesign and the Creative Cloud Desktop App are required to install Adobe InDesign 2023 (v18).

To use the new version of InDesign, you'll also need to update your Transfer Manager to 1.6.2. For more information on this process, check out our guide here.

To avoid overwriting older versions of InDesign, consider disabling the 'Auto-Update' feature in Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop. Additionally, we recommend not uninstalling older versions of InDesign for future use.

For the upcoming season (updated October 2023), we highly recommend using Adobe InDesign 2023 (v18) for its improved features and performance.
